Cats love routine and feel most comfortable in their familiar environment. Therefore, a cat sitter at home is ideal while you're on vacation. That's why Purrfect Care offers home visits in Gouda and the surrounding area. Your cat will be cared for in its familiar surroundings, allowing you to enjoy your vacation with peace of mind.

 

At Purrfect Care Cat Sitting, home visits are tailored to the unique needs of each cat. While every visit includes the standard care, the cat determines the course of the visit beyond that. If your cat loves playing and cuddling, we'll dedicate a lot of attention to this during the visit. But it's also fine if your cat wants less attention. Shy cats are not forced into interaction and are given the space they need. Often, just having someone present in the house is sufficient, and experience shows that many shy cats become curious after a few days and naturally seek interaction.

A standard visit lasts for 20-30 minutes, but longer visits are also possible. During our introductory meeting, we'll discuss what best suits the needs of your cats.

Purrfect Care primarily focuses on cats but also takes care of other types of pets. In addition to cats, I have experience with rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, and chickens, but I am certainly open to caring for other types of animals.

The price of a standard visit covers the care for up to 4 cats (for other types of pets, it's calculated per enclosure). Experience has shown that for more than 4 cats, a 30-minute visit is not sufficient. Therefore, an additional 15 minutes per visit will be charged.

During your vacation, I'd be happy to keep you informed about the well-being of your cat. If you'd like, a daily update with a photo is included with a standard visit, but less frequent updates are also possible. In case of any particularities, I'll always get in touch with you.

Administering medication to cats is also possible. Please indicate this directly in your initial request. My experience includes administering (liquid) medication through food and giving pills to cats who are accustomed to this.

Before taking care of your cat for the first time, we'll schedule a free introductory meeting. During this meeting I'll get to know you and your cat, and we'll discuss specific needs, habits, and any medical requirements.

Included with a standard visit

  • 20-30 minute visit
  • Care for up to 4 cats
  • General check of the animals and the house
  • Feeding
  • Refreshing water
  • Providing attention (cuddling, playing, etc.)
  • Cleaning litter boxes (and surrounding area)
  • Washing food and water bowls
  • Cleaning up any accidents
  • Administering medication if necessary
  • Daily update with photo
  • Watering indoor plants
  • Putting away mail out of sight

Other tasks (such as watering the garden or putting out trash bins) can be carried out upon request. There may be an additional charge for this, depending on the tasks and the time required. Feel free to ask about the possibilities.

For the key handover before and after, there are different options available. During the introductory meeting, we'll discuss what works best for you.

 

Beforehand:

  • You can give me the key during the introductory meeting.
  • You can drop the key into my mailbox before you leave.
  • I can come to pick up the key from you. There is a fee of €7,50 for this service.

Afterwards:

  • I can drop the key into your mailbox at the end of my last visit.
  • You can schedule an appointment to pick up the key from my home.
  • I can return the key to you when you're back home. There is a fee of €7,50 for this service.

I will label your key, but it will not be directly traceable to you or your address.

For visits in Gouda, travel costs are included in the price of the visit. For addresses outside of Gouda, travel costs of €0,25 per km will be charged.

*During the school holidays in summer (July 18th - August 30th), visits in Waddinxveen, Haastrecht and Stolwijk are unfortunately not possible.
